WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO VOLUNTEER?

Candidates must be at least 13 years of age to run a chapter. 

CAN I ORGANIZE A FUNDRAISING EVENT AT MY HOME?

Once you open a chapter, the means in which you raise awareness and donations are completely up to you! In the past chapter presidents have hosted school events, harnessed social media presence, and online conferences.

HOW ARE FUNDS COLLECTED?

Due to the nature of conflict, Youth for Yemen partners directly with Oxfam to ensure donations reach Yemeni civilians. Each chapter president can begin their own team fundraising page via the Oxfam website. All donations collected through Oxfam.

WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF A CHAPTER PRESIDENT?

Chapter presidents are charged with setting up a team of at least six students. From there, presidents can use their creativity to launch fundraising campaigns and educational events. In the past, presidents have held school wide events where students engaged in a series of activities to learn more about the Yemeni humanitarian crisis.

WHAT POSITIONS ARE AVAILABLE OUTSIDE BEING A CHAPTER PRESIDENT?

Please contact us for more details on possible positions outside being a chapter president. Individual fundraising initiatives are available. Any desire to help is appreciated!
